Coast Guard Kindergarten was established on 15 July 1996 as Udayan KG School with a modest beginning of seven students and one teacher in a wooden shed, under the guidance of DIG D Banerjee, PTM, COMCG (A & N), and Mrs. Renuka Raj as the Headmistress.
Since its establishment, the school has experienced remarkable growth and currently enrolls 209 students with 12 teaching and 12 non-teaching staff members. This growth underscores the quality of education and extracurricular activities, contributing to the overall development of the children. The school fosters an environment that nurtures young minds, promoting individual thinking and ensuring holistic personality development. It has established itself prominently among educational institutions in the city, upholding its motto of "Education for Excellence."
The quality of education is primarily attributed to the capabilities of its teachers. The school employs highly qualified and trained teachers through a transparent selection process. Their dedication and hard work play a pivotal role in delivering quality education. Effective measures are in place to ensure a robust education system and timely feedback, including punctuality of staff, systematic lesson planning, meticulous checking of class and homework, periodic quality reassessment, regular internal audits of teachers' performance, and frequent Parents Teachers Association meetings.
The outdoor play area is expansive and includes modern play structures, sandpits, and a garden where children can learn about nature and gardening. We also have an indoor playroom for physical activities and inclement weather days.
To support holistic development, our school provides with a wide selection of children’s books, a music room with various instruments, and an art studio where kids can express their creativity.
We ensure the children’s well-being with on-site medical facilities and a nurse available during school hours.
For enhanced learning, we incorporate technology through interactive whiteboards used under supervision to complement traditional teaching methods. Our school prioritizes safety with secure premises, CCTV surveillance, and strict access control.
These facilities collectively ensure that our kindergarten is a place where children can learn, play, and grow in a supportive and enriching environment.
